Maryland Votes for Animals needed a mobile friend site that integrated with a political action platform. Here's what we delivered.
Who Are They?
Maryland Votes for Animals is a political action committee that lobbies the Maryland State Government to support legislation that protects animals in Maryland.
Details & Challenges
Maryland Votes for Animals had a tremendous amount of old content on a static HTML site which was not mobile-friendly. The operators were reliant on a tech guy to add new posts and news updates. They wanted the ability to perform these updates themselves.
They also needed to integrate some type of voter action platform so they could get their members’ messages to the right legislators in their districts.
Results
We build their website using WordPress in order to facilitate their ability to easily add new posts to their site. We painstakingly copied all of the old relevant content into new posts and trained them how to add new ones.
We set up an account for them at ActionNetwork.org and migrated their existing mailing list into it. We also embedded ActionNetwork’s sign up form into the new website and work with them each year to send out alerts & updates via the ActionNetwork platform.
