The new PlayStation is gonna be a more than just an upgrade.

E-sport gamers

Sony has been working on its next-generation gaming platform for at least the last 4 years and Wired Magazine just reported some of the new stats that we’re expecting to see. Here are a few highlights.

More than Just Typical Upgrades

Obviously, with a next-generation system, we can pretty much expect to see the baseline components beefed up to modern standards. This means an 8-core processor, beefy Radeon GPU that can deliver 8k graphics, and more memory. It’ll also have an SSD which should make this thing super fast.

New Technologies

In addition to hardware, the new PlayStation will also have new 3D audio immersive sound and Ray Tracing, a 3D lighting technology used in Hollywood special effects studios that has yet to make it’s way to the video game world.

Head on over to Wired Magazine if you want to read the entire list of goodies. If you’re not sure which games you wanna play just yet, here are a few ideas.
